Hi there!
I’m Melissa hubbell
Hi, I’m Melissa.
I have more than 12 years of experience in the mortgage industry, helping my customers achieve their ultimate goal of homeownership. My goal is to provide excellent customer service, build trust, and develop long-lasting relationships with my customers. To build that trust, I take the time to get to know each and every one of my customers on a personal level. I am willing to meet my customers anywhere that is convenient for them and always quick to respond to questions. I make myself accessible in the evenings and weekends, as these are popular times when customers have more time to view homes and ask questions.
I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO (Northland). My husband and I have been married since 2007. Together, we have a daughter, a son, and two fur babies: Oakley Mae, a Belgian Malinois, and Ruby Jean, a Doodle. When I am not at work, you can find me in the stands cheering on my kids as they play softball and baseball, working out, and supporting all Kansas City sports teams.

TAmmy Shanahan
Loan officer assistant
Hello Folks! I’m your cheerful Loan Officer Assistant. With a heart full of kindness, I navigate people through their home-buying journeys, ensuring smiles all around. My desk harbors a beloved family photo and a can’t-live-without-it Texas Instruments calculator—my numeral companion. Mornings bloom with coffee, afternoons sparkle with Coke, and yes, water makes its occasional appearance.
Favorite Work Memory: Starting at Fountain Mortgage was a whirlwind of warm welcomes and seamless integrations, all thanks to the fabulous Emily Sappingfield and her meticulously planned 10-day orientation. It’s all about efficient and harmonious teamwork here.
Hobby: I’m a football aficionado. From being a staunch supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs since ’85 to rejoicing in every K-State Wildcats’ victory and cheering for the Michigan Wolverines, football is the glue that binds my family together. It’s the seasons of exhilaration and shared joys that keep our spirits high.
I’m here to spread joy, share kindness, and kick goals in the mortgage world with you all. Let’s make home-buying a touchdown!

The best companies achieve excellence in three areas:
People, Product, and Purpose
People
This seems like a no-brainer, but it’s actually the hardest part. Hiring and retaining the best people that represent your brand in a way you envision it is something that takes daily attention and focus from leadership. So how do great companies accomplish this? They give employees the opportunity and training to learn and grow professionally. They create teams that ensure employees are working with people they respect. (In other words, they hire for cultural fit.) And, most importantly, they inspire a vision for the company that every single employee believes in and works to achieve.
Product
In the best companies, all on board are united and working together to produce an excellent product or service, and they all consider it something of immense value. Whatever their role, employees at great companies strive for perfection in that role because they value their team, their customers, and they believe in their product.
Purpose
This is the most important part. Purpose is what separates good companies from great companies. The best companies have a clearly defined purpose, a reason for being, that everyone understands and considers crucial to the success of the company
At Fountain Mortgage, we put our purpose in the center of everything we do. And that purpose is simple: To educate and empower our clients to make the best possible financial decisions for their families.
For these reasons and 1,000 others, I’m proud to call myself a “Fountaineer.”
The best gift is giving back.
We’re humbled and grateful for the support of the Kansas City community that’s enabled our team to thrive. In gratitude, Fountain Mortgage is proud to make a $50 donation to a charity after every closing. We’ve donated more than $200,000 in total!
